In this session you will learn practical and effective strategies for teaching mathematics and mathematics teaching practices in both remote and hybrid settings in ways that increase engagement and reduce cognitive load. We will explore strategies for implementing problem-based learning, monitoring work in real time, and encouraging active participation. You will leave with some new ideas and resources you can use in your own settings.

Panelists will bring insights from facilitating conference breakout groups that considered perspectives such as teacher education for social justice, math content courses, professional development for practicing teachers, as well as elementary and secondary teacher education.
